Shade Sail in Pacific Park — A Public Sports Ground Between Shade and Light

Hualien Pacific Park has launched the Adult Fitness Zone Project, integrating wellness, landscape aesthetics, and age-friendly design to create a new public sports venue for all generations.
Wen’s Phoenix designed multiple shade structures across different areas of the park, allowing the canopies to unfold under the blue sky and sea breeze, weaving layers of dynamic light and shadow.
Each structure is built with hot-dip galvanized steel columns, steel cables, and high-strength waterproof fabric, featuring excellent resistance to water, UV, and coastal corrosion — ensuring long-term stability and refined appearance in a marine environment.
More than just providing shade, the canopies bring a rhythm of light and openness, adding both comfort and visual depth to the park. Together, they transform this seaside landscape into a harmonious balance of beauty and function — a truly shared space for everyone to move, relax, and enjoy.
